When a new plan is setup, every employer receives an email with a bunch of documents they don't have much have time for. Our way to doing business is different and here is why! Add Comment If you are a COBRA eligible participant, you have the same enrollment rights as all active employees. For example, if you were only signed up on Medical but now want to elect Dental, you are able to do so at this time. Open Enrollment allows a COBRA Participant to make changes to their enrollment, just like an active employee. Sometimes there is confusion about a COBRA Participant’s right to change their election at open enrollment. Many times this means adding a dependent or a Plan (i.e. adding dental if they didn’t have it before). During the plan year, a COBRA Participant can only reduce enrollment status. |
